Nagamitsu Endo is a New York-based documentary photographer, a visual storyteller, and the founder of NAGAVISION INC. Born in Japan and raised across Tokyo, New York, Mumbai, and Karachi, he brings a distinctly multicultural eye to his photography and documentary work.



A Sigma Ambassador and a Brent Renaud Foundation mentor with over three decades of professional photo and television work, Nagamitsu is known for his atmospheric and nostalgic images of city life around the world and for producing and directing numerous documentary projects for broadcasters such as NHK Japan.


Nagamitsu received his Bachelor's degree in Law from Sophia University in Tokyo, and his MFA in Photography from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, where he studied with Philip Perkis, Arthur Freed, Sarah van Ouwerkerk, and Ann Turyn.


Nagamitsu apprenticed and assisted photographers, Enrico Ferorelli, Antonin Kratochvil, Adam Stoltman, Ken Kerbs, Danuta Otfinowski, and Heinz Kleutmeier.
